This was taken just after a session finished — the sky was brightening, the data was captured, and I still hadn't gone to bed. This is a real photograph of the Western Veil Nebula — the remnant of a star that exploded thousands of years ago.

Not AI-generated. Not a NASA stock image. This image was captured over multiple nights from Çeşme, Turkey, using a telescope and a cooled astronomy camera. It's a three-panel mosaic — three separate sections of the sky, stitched together into one seamless image to reveal detail that no single frame could capture.
